Paintings done in the Bob Ross Wildlife Technique are completed in one or two classes. There is an under-painting in grays and black acrylic. This is followed by a glaze and a final application of opaque color in oil. Paintings done in the Traditional Technique take two to five days to complete. Layers of glaze and opaque paint are applied every day, giving added depth to fur or feathers. All work is done in oil.
